Emerald Empire Reading Council

Chartered in 1963

The Emerald Empire Reading Council (EERC) is one of 10 local councils of the Oregon Reading Association (ORA) and the International Literacy Association (ILA). It is the third oldest council in the state.

We currently have approximately 160 members ranging from kindergarten teachers through university professors as well as teaching specialistists, retired teachers, and adminsitrators. We also are fortunate to have community members who are committed to our goal of promoting literacy.

Monthly Meetings

The EERC Board meets on the second
Monday of the month (except December, January, July, and August) at the Springfield Coburg Pizza Restaurant on Centennial.
